Running for Elected Office: What it Takes and What to Expect

  • The Rose 2219 30th Street San Diego, CA, 92104 United States (map)

A key element in taking back our government hinges on the right people running for public office. This is especially relevant at the local level. The New Narrative presents a special panel discussion with former candidates and current elected officials who will be sharing their personal insights and knowledge into the process of running for office. The panel will discuss what inspired them to run, what they learned from the experience and advice they would give to others considering the same path.

This will be a coalition building event with time for concerned citizens to meet and make new connections. Our goal is to develop a stronger sense of how we can all make a direct difference in our world.

Colin Parent, La Mesa City Councilmember
Chris Ward, San Diego City Councilmember, District 3
Carol Kim, former Candidate, San Diego City Council

Come early for something to eat and/or a glass of wine at the Rose Wine Bar. The panel discussion will be in the adjacent event room beginning at 7pm.
